Recorded at Haverstick Films in beautiful downtown Lancaster, by Michelle Mercure, this recording of all original music is Bobbi’s most honest writing to date. The arrangements are intentionally left sparse and open, to give the listener room to listen. Drawing from a lifetime of memories of living in Lancaster County, Bobbi started composing songs for this project while of tour for three months just weeks after September 11, 2001. Criss-crossing the country and flying when nobody really wanted to, Bobbi’s thoughts drifted toward home and the friends, family and land that she loves. Songs like “Best Of It All”, were written from experiences of road traveling and missing home. “Sunday Afternoon” speaks of what we all search for in our lives…contentment. “Rocky Springs Saturday Night” has been the biggest surprise to Bobbi. It was intended as a musical gift to her mother, Charlotte, who used to tell stories of when the now closed amusement park was in its prime. Dance bands, paddleboats and the famous Rocky Springs carousel all have their turn in this sweet, waltz-like song. Every time she performs the song, someone is always coming up after the show and sharing their personal memories of the park. If you’ve got some, send it our way!”
Here’s what some of you are saying about County Wide!
“On County Wide, Bobbi sings about local places so vividly you can almost smell the scrapple crackling on the grill! She delivers each song in a voice that is smooth, conversational, and intimate, as if she had pulled up a seat next to you, picked up her guitar, and started to reminisce.”
Mary Alice Bitts, Lancaster Sunday News.
“You don't know me but I got a copy of your CD from your cousin Merle. I really love it! Your music is the kind that I put on and it makes me ponder life - both its gains and losses. There is such fantastic imagery in it. I love that line about sometimes life don't change at all in the country. That's what it's like here on Amelia Island. I miss that kind of music. Thanks for all you do.”

“Greetings from the far side of the earth. I am currently in Kuwait on active duty with the Army and will be here until sometime in January ‘06. The reason I am writing is to say thank you for your CD of music about Lancaster County. In the month that I’ve been here, your music has been the only thing to remind me of home. This is a very strange land. We all wear body armor and carry weapons. Returning to my tent after 12-14 hours of work and being able to here a familiar voice, has truly been my lifeline. Your music has been my ticket to happier places and times. Take care Bobbi and thank you.”

“...I think what I like best about your songs is that your verses paint a picture in my head. A landscape that I can escape into for a moment where I experience the colors and scents. Or they rekindle memories I have cherished in my life. A view that filled me with awe, certain friends (human and furry) who have touched my heart, a relative who helped shape my sense of "self". So, thank you for your wonderful songs. I am treasuring them.”

“County Wide is more than words can describe. Not only the nostalgic lyrics, but also the variety of musical presentation calls for commendation. We lived in your development, I know you by name and your Mom was my Avon lady. I listened to your CD, read the lyrics, and listened to it again and again. It stays in the player ready to go. You hit my heart strings...it’s like going home. Thank you, Bobbi, as I know you, for a melodic portrait of home.”
